Anaerobic Digesters & Biogas

What exactly is biogas?

Biogas is a renewable energy produced during the methanation of biomass. Composed primarily of methane and carbon dioxide (CO2), biogas is efficiently upgraded to biomethane through purification. View our range of products for the Oil & Gas Industry

Air Liquide supplies the gases for the calibration and running of the analysers used on the systems that inject the gas grid with the biogas.

Before this injection is permitted the biogas must meet the standards applied through the Gas Safety Management Regulations (GSMR).

These set out the calorific value (CV) and gas composition requirements of the gas. This is achieved by analysis and the addition of Propane (amount required will depend on the CV to be attained).

Air Liquide calibration and OFGEM verified gases meet the requirements for this gas injection via Grid Entry Units (GEU).
